Poply is a Chrome extension that allows you to pop out YouTube videos into a floating Picture-in-Picture player. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Data Collection and Use

Poply does not collect, store, or transmit any personal user data.

The extension only processes:

• YouTube video URLs temporarily in memory to create popout windows
• Video timestamp information (if applicable) to resume playback at the correct position

This data is:

• Processed locally on your device only
• Never stored permanently
• Never transmitted to any external servers
• Never shared with third parties

Permissions Explained

• activeTab: Allows the extension to interact with YouTube pages when you click the extension button
• scripting: Enables adding the pop-out button to YouTube's player interface
• storage: Reserved for potential future user preferences (currently unused)
• host_permissions (youtube.com): Required to access YouTube pages and embed videos

Third-Party Services

When you use Poply, YouTube videos are embedded using YouTube's official embed player. YouTube's own privacy policy applies to the embedded content. We do not control or have access to any data collected by YouTube.

We do not share any data with third parties because we do not collect any data.
